AZDesertCoolers Configuration Survey

.

Introduction:

This device is an evaporative cooler that has higher efficiencies than current items on the market. It is designed to be operated from a small battery and/or Solar for ‘OFF GRID’ area. My initial target audience is that group.

Features:

  • Bluetooth Wireless connection to control device operationally, (Phone App) View efficiency, and program conveniences.
  • Smart Technology – Program ON/OFF features, ie. Temperature thresholds will shut device off / turn on. Controls water / air flow for maximum efficiency.
  • LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION – Regular operational mode, <2.5 Amps @ 12VDC, boost 5.0 Amps. (air conditioners require 15/30/50 Amps! The unit will operate for 8 hrs on a 50Ah Lithium battery.
  • High Efficiency. The shape is the key of efficiency. The patent design feature reduces the flow of air through an area that has no water.. Dry places allow zero resistance, so the cooler becomes less efficient. This evaporative cooler offers a 15% improved performance compared to standard evaporative coolers.
  • Operates on a pressurized water system automatically without having to worry about running out of water.
  • Alternately the Desert Cooler can utilize a gravity fed water storage should pressurized system not be available.
  • PORTABLE /COMPACT – Design is to optimize space. 7″ Round x 27″ tall. and Weight less than 7 lbs. –
  • Replaceable filter to reduce bacteria issues.

Goal of this Survey:

I am simply looking for feedback for marketing purposes and possible changes to the item before I launch with some sort of production.

Picture above represents most options, 6″ duct hose, Water storage, Fans & covers, power options

The proper use would be to hang the device in the OUTSIDE of tent, camper or structure.

With Pop-up Tent

Remove the duct and fan assembly that doubles as the protective travel shell. Assemble the unit with the 6″ duct, and duct fan end going inside cooling quarters.

Attach a 12VDC Power supply, attach water supply. Turn on. Enjoy a cool flow of air!.

If the duct is expanded and exposed to the sun, I highly recommend use of the duct insulation cover. It will reduce temperate losses from 3-5 degrees. (Pour water on it too!)

With Smart Technology the system with an App will turn on or turn off remotely. Report relative humidity, efficiencies, temperatures both outside and inside quarters. Set a timer to auto shut off or set low temperature threshold to automatically turn off in night if temperature drops below comfort levels. Enter ‘Quiet mode’ and duct end booster fan turns off. Cycle water pumps for maximum power and automatic cooling efficiencies.
